this little piggy was recalled from market

How sad, walking through Tesco this evening past all those empty fridge cabinets where the pork used to be. And all those non-Irish pork products looking so lonely on the shelves just know in their porky, piggy hearts that no one will touch them because everyone is scared of eating pork, any pork, full stop.

How sad, walking through Tesco this evening past all those people who are clearly mistaken in thinking that the term "recall" entitles them to a refund for the faulty product. Silly people. Every little helps, unless Tesco head office decides not to.

How sad, all those pigs who, through no fault of their own, ate what was given them and gave their lives when it was asked, only to be tossed out with the used nappies. Even good little organic piggies who weren't fed contaminated food.

It makes one want to raise one's own meat, just so we know what the f**k the pigs are eating before we eat them.
